• Ocean Cruise Terminal — Eastern Docks, SO14 3QN (Berth 46/47). Lines in the current schedule: P&O Cruises, Cunard, AIDA Cruises and Princess Cruises.

Dock Gate 10 Southampton: what it is and where it leads

Dock Gate 10 is a port entrance, not a cruise terminal. It is one of the access points into Southampton's Western Docks, and the gate most commonly associated with the Mayflower and Horizon Cruise Terminals. Traffic for the City Cruise Terminal may also be directed through Dock Gate 10, depending on the port's directions on the day.

Access arrangements inside the port can change, so treat the terminal name and postcode on your e-ticket as your destination rather than the gate. "Dock Gate 10" on its own tells a driver how to get into the docks, not which building you need.

For a private hire pickup or drop-off, give us your ship name and terminal. Your driver then follows the current port directions for that terminal, whichever gate they use, and times a pickup to your ship's actual arrival.

Tips for a smooth waterfront pickup

1. Confirm your exact location at booking — berth or pontoon number for marinas; terminal name and dock gate for the cruise port.
2. For cruise disembarkations, add your ship name so we can monitor its arrival and coordinate the collection with you.
3. Book early for Saturday crew changeovers on the Hamble — peak demand runs May to September.

Which cruise terminal will my ship use?

Southampton has five terminals across the Eastern and Western Docks: Ocean (SO14 3QN) and QEII (SO14 3GG) in the Eastern Docks, and City (SO15 1HJ), Mayflower (SO15 1HQ) and Horizon (SO15 1AW) in the Western Docks. Is Dock Gate 10 a Southampton cruise terminal?

No. Dock Gate 10 is an entrance into the Western Docks, not one of Southampton's five cruise terminals. It is the gate most commonly used for the Mayflower and Horizon Cruise Terminals, and City Cruise Terminal traffic may be directed through it too, depending on the port's directions on the day. Your e-ticket names your terminal and its postcode, so use that as your destination and give us the terminal and ship name when you book.
