About Heathrow Terminal 5
Which airlines use Terminal 5?
Terminal 5 is the home of British Airways — almost all BA flights use T5 — together with Iberia and Aer Lingus. If you are flying BA from Southampton, T5 is almost certainly your terminal. Always check your boarding pass and tell us your flight number at booking so we head to the right place.
The journey from Southampton
Southampton to Heathrow Terminal 5 is around 75 miles via the M3, typically 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. T5 sits on the western side of the airport (M25 Junction 14 / spur road), so it is often the quickest Heathrow terminal to reach from the M3. We drop you right at the T5 departures forecourt.
Departures & arrivals at T5
For departures we get you to the T5 forecourt with time to spare (2–3 hours before short-haul, 3+ for long-haul). For arrivals, your driver tracks your inbound flight and meets you in the T5 arrivals hall with a name board — 60 minutes free wait covers immigration and baggage.
Fixed price, any terminal
The fare is the same fixed Southampton-to-Heathrow price whichever terminal you use — Terminal 5 included. See our main Southampton to Heathrow transfers page for the full terminal guide and route detail.
