Straight answers to the questions Southampton travellers actually ask — prices, cruise terminals, parking and the best way to and from the airports. Every viaUNO fare is fixed and all-in, 24/7.
A fixed-price private transfer from Southampton to Heathrow with viaUNO Cars is from £165 in a Premium car (our entry vehicle), all-in — including the £7 airport drop-off fee, meet & greet and flight tracking. The MPV (8-seater) is £253 and the Executive £200. It is roughly 65–70 miles / 1h15–1h45 via the M3. See Southampton to Heathrow taxi prices.
A pre-booked door-to-door private transfer is the simplest and most predictable option — no changes, no dragging luggage across stations. viaUNO Cars runs Gatwick ↔ Southampton from £210 in a Premium car, fixed and all-in, with meet & greet at either terminal and live flight tracking. The train involves at least one change and a taxi at each end. See Southampton ↔ Gatwick transfers.
The easiest way is a pre-booked private transfer straight from the arrivals hall to your cruise terminal — about 65–70 miles and 1h20–1h40 via the M3 and M27. viaUNO Cars does this daily from £165 (Premium), all-in, with a name-board meet & greet inside Heathrow arrivals, flight tracking and luggage handled to the terminal porters. See Heathrow → Southampton cruise terminal.
Southampton has five cruise terminals across two dock areas: Ocean (SO14 3QN) and QEII (SO14 3GG) in the Eastern Docks, and City (SO15 1HJ), Mayflower (SO15 1HQ) and Horizon (SO15 1AW) in the Western Docks. Your terminal is printed on your cruise e-ticket and set by the cruise line and ship — Horizon and QEII are different terminals on opposite sides of the port. viaUNO Cars covers every terminal. See cruise terminal transfers.
Uber coverage in Southampton is thin and unreliable at the cruise terminals — especially on busy Saturday turnaround mornings and for early flights, when cars are scarce and surge pricing kicks in just when everyone needs a ride. For a guaranteed car at a fixed price, pre-book a licensed private transfer: viaUNO Cars is a Southampton City Council licensed operator with DBS-checked drivers, meet & greet and the price locked in before you travel. See cruise terminal transfers.
Official cruise-terminal parking in Southampton typically runs from about £100 to over £200 for a week-long cruise, depending on terminal and season. For two or more passengers travelling together, a fixed-price return transfer is often cheaper once you add fuel and the stress of driving — and there is no car left sitting at the port. viaUNO Cars runs door-to-terminal transfers from central Southampton from £28.50 (Premium). See cruise terminal transfers.
Which ships are in Southampton on a given day changes constantly — always check the live cruise schedule for arrivals and departures before you travel so your transfer timing matches the turnaround. See our Southampton cruise port arrivals & departures guide. viaUNO Cars monitors your ship and coordinates the collection with you as you disembark, with no extra waiting-time charge if it docks late.
Yes. Southampton Airport (SOU, in Eastleigh) is minutes from the city centre and we run fixed local fares to and from it 24/7, priced by pickup zone. It is also a short hop to the cruise terminals via our fixed Cruise Parkway tariff. See Southampton Airport transfers.
