Solent Airport at Daedalus — the transfer
The drive
Southampton to Solent Airport is roughly 16 miles — usually 30 to 40 minutes via the M27 to Junction 9 (Fareham), then south through Stubbington to Lee-on-the-Solent. From Portsmouth it is about 10 miles via Fareham. We know the Daedalus Drive approach and drop right at the terminal or apron gate you need.
What the airport is
Solent Airport at Daedalus (ICAO EGHF) is the general-aviation airfield on the former HMS Daedalus site at Lee-on-the-Solent, owned by Fareham Borough Council. It handles private and business flights, helicopter operations and flight training, and anchors the Solent Enterprise Zone alongside the Fareham Innovation Centre and CEMAST — so many of our runs here are corporate, not only aviation.
Who we carry here
Private-jet and light-aircraft passengers, flight-school students and instructors, aviation and tech staff at the Daedalus business park, and visitors for the annual Lee-on-the-Solent airshow. Meet & greet, name boards and 8-seater MPVs for crew or group bookings are all available.
Postcodes and pricing
Lee-on-the-Solent and the Daedalus site sit in the PO13 area, which carries the standard £6 PO out-of-area uplift on metered local jobs. Fixed-price onward airport transfers (Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton) are quoted as one flat total online before you book.
