Totton ↔ airports — the route
The drive
Totton to central Southampton is just 5 miles across the Redbridge causeway — typically 12 to 20 minutes. Southampton Airport (Eastleigh Parkway) is around 25 minutes via the M271/M27. Heathrow is 1h 30m via the M27/M3; Gatwick around 1h 45m.
Coverage
SO40 Totton plus Marchwood, Hythe, Calmore, Bartley, Ashurst Bridge and the Waterside villages. Hotel and residential pickups; we hold name boards on request for visitor arrivals at Southampton Airport (SOU).
Postcodes and zone pricing
SO40 is Zone B at £1.50 uplift on metered jobs. Fixed-price airport transfers from Totton are the same flat price as central Southampton — no surcharges added after booking; the zone uplift applies to metered local jobs only.
Local knowledge — the Waterside gateway
Totton is often cited as the largest village in England and the gateway to the Waterside — Marchwood, Hythe, Fawley and the refinery complex. We run regular shift-pattern transfers for Waterside workers and cruise crew joining ships at the Western Docks, plus Redbridge park-and-ride connections. The single causeway over the River Test at Redbridge is the one pinch point we plan around at peak times.
