London → Cruise — how it works
The route
London (Zone 1) to Southampton cruise port is around 80 miles via the M3 — typically 1h 50m to 2h 30m depending on M25 / A3 traffic. We avoid the M25 westbound at rush hour. Direct door-to-door — no transit through London Heathrow / Gatwick.
Most-booked London pickup points
West End hotels (Mayfair, Knightsbridge, Strand, Bloomsbury), King's Cross / St Pancras (Eurostar arrivals to UK cruise), Liverpool Street, Paddington, Canary Wharf and London City Airport (LCY). Pre-cruise overnight stays at Heathrow / Gatwick hotels also covered.
Which Southampton terminals
The main Southampton cruise terminals: Ocean (SO14 3QN), City (SO15 1HJ), Mayflower (SO15 1HQ), Horizon (SO15 1AW). We confirm the active terminal on the day of your sailing and time arrival to your check-in slot.
Luggage & groups
Cruise luggage is heavier than airport luggage. Our estate cars take 4 passengers with 4 large cases; the 8-seater Mercedes V-Class MPV handles up to 8 passengers and 6 large cases — ideal for families and groups travelling down from London together. Tell us your case count at booking so we send the right vehicle the first time.
Why not the train?
The train from London Waterloo to Southampton Central, then a taxi to the terminal, means two changes while wrangling cruise cases — and the cost of two or more rail tickets often matches a single private hire. Door-to-door from your London hotel is one journey: no platforms, no luggage trolleys, and you arrive right at the terminal forecourt.
What's included
Your fixed price covers the London Congestion Charge and ULEZ (for Zone 1 / inner-Zone 2 pickups), all motorway tolls, the £10 cruise service fee, meet & greet and ship tracking on the return leg. No meter and no surge — the number you see when you book is the number you pay.
