About the journey
The drive
Southampton to Manchester Airport is around 210 miles via the M3 / A34 / M40 / M42 / M6 — typically 3.5 to 4.5 hours depending on traffic. The A34 (Newbury–Oxford) and the M6 around Birmingham are the main variables; off-peak and overnight runs are smoothest. For a journey this length we plan a comfort stop and the executive Mercedes is a popular choice.
About the airport
Manchester Airport (MAN) is the largest UK airport outside London, with three terminals and a genuinely global long-haul network — Emirates and Etihad (Gulf and onward), Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Virgin Atlantic and major US carriers, plus the full spread of European and charter airlines (Jet2, TUI, Ryanair, easyJet). Drop-off is at each terminal forecourt; your driver helps with luggage to the entrance.
Who uses Southampton–MAN
Passengers when Manchester has a long-haul route the southern airports don't (or a better fare/slot), business travellers on Gulf-carrier connections, families on Jet2/TUI charter holidays, and University of Southampton students travelling to and from the north-west. The executive option is popular for the longer journey.
What is included
Fixed price covers all motorway tolls, the MAN terminal drop-off fee, meet & greet at arrivals, flight tracking and 60 minutes' free wait post-landing. No hidden extras on the day. One-way or return both available at the same per-leg price.
